Enforcement

Strategic representation in audits, investigations and agency enforcement matters.

Our approach

All practice areas

TPLG represents individuals, campaigns, political committees, corporations, nonprofit organizations and other regulated entities in sensitive audits, investigations, complaints and administrative enforcement proceedings before federal, state and local regulators. The FEC administers and enforces federal campaign finance law, while agencies such as California's FPPC investigate and enforce campaign finance, lobbying and governmental ethics requirements at the state and local level.

Our lawyers bring experience from both sides of the regulatory process. We understand how enforcement agencies evaluate complaints, develop investigations and assess potential violations, and we use that perspective to distinguish meaningful risk from theoretical risk, develop the factual record and build strategic defenses.

We also advise clients before an enforcement matter exists. Through internal audits, compliance reviews, training and risk assessments, we help organizations identify vulnerabilities, strengthen their compliance programs and make informed decisions about issues that may later receive regulatory scrutiny.
